SUPER BOWL XXVIII / Cowboys 30, Buffalo Bills 13 : SPOTLIGHT : NORTON GETS TWO PLUS ONE TICKET TO PARADISE

Saturday night, former heavyweight boxing champion Ken Norton had two tickets to the Super Bowl.

That made him one ticket short, because his mission was to take his children, Kene Jon, 10, and Kenesha, 17, to watch their brother, Ken Norton Jr., play linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys.

All three had made the trip to Atlanta, not knowing if they would be able to see the game or Norton Jr., who has been estranged from the family for two years because of a disagreement with his father. Friday, businessman Ray McClendon came up with two ticktets.

Sunday morning, a few hours before the kickoff, the third ticket came through, from NBC, which provided Norton Sr. a seat on the 50-yard line where a network camera could find him during the game.

It was worth much more than a great view. After the game, according to Newsday, the Nortons, father and son, got together in the Cowboys’ locker room and embraced.
