Countywide : Holiday Schedule

Today is New Year’s Eve. The following schedule will be in effect:

* City, county and federal offices are closed. City of Newport Beach offices will be open until noon.

* County, state and federal courthouses are closed.

* City and county libraries are closed. City of Newport Beach library system will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

* Banks and savings and loans will close early; call for schedule.

* Schools, colleges and universities are closed through Jan. 2.

* Mail: Post offices will close at 5 p.m.

* Trash: Service not disrupted.

* Buses: OCTA buses and special service transit will run on regular schedule.

* Parks: All city- and county-run parks will be open during regular hours.
