A 15-year-old Los Amigos High School student was killed Thursday when the Toyota sedan he was riding in collided with a flatbed truck, police said.

The 3:46 p.m. collision, which involved two other cars and several injuries, closed Harbor Boulevard for more than three hours, according to Sgt. Keith Levin.

Truong’s cousin, Ann Chung, was seriously injured and taken to UCI Medical Center in Orange, where she was reported in stable condition Thursday night.

The truck, carrying bags of cayenne pepper, was driven by a 37-year-old Santa Ana man who was treated for minor scrapes at Fountain Valley Hospital Regional Medical Center.

Police said the Toyota was knocked into another car, containing a couple in their 20s and a 4-year-old child, who police say was not wearing a seat belt.
