Cleveland High’s Everett Macy will step down as co-coach of the school’s football team, he announced Monday.
Macy, 50, took over as coach three seasons ago and last fall added Joe Santellano as co-coach. Santellano will assume head-coaching duties. Macy will remain as coach of the offensive line.
“It’s at my request,” Macy said. “I’ve been doing it for a long, long time. . . . I got tired of being the landscaper, equipment manager and head trainer.”
