JDL’s Document Plotter Sales Volume Doubles
After a slow start, sales of a new large-scale document plotter are finally coming to life, according to JDL, the Camarillo-based U. S. sales division of Japan Digital Laboratory Co. Ltd.
Nobody was surprised when the product, called the 4000E, sold slowly after its introduction in January, JDL spokeswoman Pat Caminiti says. After all, the unit, which reproduces maps and documents as large as 36 by 42 inches, costs $38,900.
Caminiti would not disclose sales figures, but said volume has doubled in the last three months.
