New Assistant General Counsel Appointed at McDonnell Douglas

Thomas P. Tshudy has been appointed assistant general counsel of McDonnell Douglas in Huntington Beach. In his new role, he will provide legal support to the company’s space and electronics programs. Tshudy joined McDonnell Douglas in 1989 as a senior attorney at McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Co. Most recently, he was senior counsel in McDonnell Douglas’ space transportation activities. Before joining the company, he held a variety of positions in the Air Force.

* Robert F. Nichols Jr. has joined Mariners Bank in San Clemente as general counsel. He has also been appointed a director of Mariners Bancorp, the bank’s holding company. Nichols founded the law firm of Nichols, Nichols and Andrews with his son and daughter in 1983.

* John Turnbull has been promoted to chief operating officer of Phil & Jim’s TV and Appliances Inc., an Anaheim-based retail chain. He was formerly chief financial officer.

* Daniel T. Wright has been appointed to the newly created position of project management for engineering at Clayton Engineering Inc. in Newport Beach. He has 17 years of construction industry experience with McGrew, Parrot and Wright, J.R. Wood and South Coast Grading.
