The makers of Listerine are trying to add one more item to America’s daily regimen of brushing, flossing, shaving, moussing, deodorizing and moisturizing.
Warner-Lambert Inc. has installed gallon-sized dispensers of its Cool Mint Listerine in restrooms at six restaurants in Baltimore and Dallas to promote the concept of a post-lunch gargle.
Will Americans swallow the pitch? Customers at Tolbert’s Chili Parlor in Dallas, where nachos and other spicy Tex-Mex items reign, have given the idea a warm reception, said manager Terry Watts.
