Studio City : Chamber Makes Plea to Members
Members of the Studio City Chamber of Commerce need to do more business among themselves in order to make the chamber prosper, its newly elected president said Friday.
“If you need a dentist, you shouldn’t be calling 1-800-DENTIST,” said Jave McWilliams. “You should be looking in the chamber directory.”
McWilliams, a 32-year-old graphic artist, was elected president last month and replaces Andrew Manning.
Besides encouraging increased interaction between chamber members, McWilliams said she plans to continue chamber-sponsored programs such as Business Watch and the Studio City Cares homeless awareness program.
Sondra Frohlich, who as executive director of the chamber handles its day-to-day operations, called McWilliams a breath of fresh air.
“She’s got a lot of enthusiasm,” Frohlich said. “And it spills over. She gives everyone a hot foot.”
