THOUSAND OAKS : Cause of Industrial Site Fire Unknown
The cause of a Wednesday morning fire at a Thousand Oaks industrial site remains unknown, fire officials said Friday.
The fire torched an industrial building at 3580 Willow Lane that housed Roy’s Towing, Brad’s Towing, and R.C.O.A., an assets recovery firm. The blaze caused nearly $1 million in damage and left little in its wake but four unstable concrete walls, firefighters said.
“It’s not safe for firefighters to enter the building now, because first the tilt-up concrete walls have to be shored up,” said Alison Schember, a department dispatcher. Schember said she did not know when firefighters would be able to enter the building to determine the cause of the blaze.
