Fed Says Floods Pose No Threat to Overall Recovery: The nation’s economy continues to grow “slowly to moderately” despite devastation from the flooding in the Midwest, the Federal Reserve reported. “The effects of flooding were said to be highly concentrated and were not seen to threaten overall economic expansion,” the central bank said in its latest survey of regional economic conditions.
