Steel Firms Urge Ruling Be Reversed: The U.S. International Trade Commission was asked by major U.S. steel companies to reverse a vote that found they were not being injured by imports of certain types of foreign steel. By law the ITC must report to the Commerce Department by Monday. Lawyers said the fact that the value of American steel firms’ stock fell by $1.1 billion in 90 minutes after the ITC ruling was evidence of the harm caused by foreign steel.
