NATION IN BRIEF : TEXAS : Fast Protests Cuban Aid Impoundment
Demonstrators protesting the U.S. trade embargo against Cuba staged a hunger strike in a school bus U.S. Customs agents impounded in Laredo. The bus was part of a 95-vehicle convoy carrying about 100 tons of supplies bound for Cuba. The other vehicles entered Mexico earlier. Pastors for Peace said the cargo includes computers, medicine, wheelchairs and school supplies.
