Nina Warren; Former California First Lady
Nina Warren, 100, widow of Chief Justice Earl Warren and former First Lady of California, has died.
She died Saturday in Washington, D.C., of congestive heart failure.
Born in Sweden, Mrs. Warren moved with her family to Oakland when she was an infant. She was a young widow when she met Warren at a swimming party in 1925.
The former California governor and chief justice of the United States died in 1974.
