“The Manager,” a one-act comedy by Cal State Fullerton graduate Darrin Shaughnessy, is one of the premiere attractions at the nine-day, 25th annual Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival in Washington. Scheduled to be performed this morning, the comedy about short-circuited relationships is the winner of the festival’s 1993 National Short Play Award. Shaughnessy said he hopes the honor will encourage a producer to give the work a professional staging.
