BREA : Residents Invited to Town Hall Meetings
The City Council is playing host to a series of town hall meetings to give residents an opportunity to discuss concerns about their neighborhoods.
The first meeting will be tonight at 7 at Mariposa Elementary School, 1111 W. Mariposa Drive.
Mayor Burnie Dunlap said he has initiated the town hall meetings to increase citizen participation on city issues. In addition, he now holds office from 8 to 9 a.m. on Mondays and has installed a “Dial the Mayor” hot line. He said residents may call him at (714) 671-4488 at any time. Calls will be returned within 48 hours, he said.
Five other meetings have been scheduled: Laurel Elementary School, 200 S. Flower Ave., holds the meeting April 8; Fanning Elementary School, 650 N. Apricot, on May 26; Arovista Elementary School, 900 Eadington Drive, on June 23; Olinda Elementary School, 109 Lilac Lane, on Aug. 25, and Country Hills Elementary School, 150 N. Associated Road, on Oct. 27.
