3 Fullerton Families Lose Homes, Goods in Apartment Blaze
FULLERTON — Three families were burned out of their homes Sunday in a blaze of undetermined origin that caused $250,000 damage to three apartments and their contents, fire officials said.
No one was injured in the blaze, which broke out at 12:20 p.m. in an apartment complex at 3042 E. Topaz Lane, said city Fire Dispatcher Jonathan Wilkes.
Six firefighting vehicles responded to the blaze, which was extinguished by 1:48 p.m. The cause is under investigation.
Fullerton Fire Department Capt. Alan Meacham said about 20 men, women and children in the three families were relocated by the Orange County chapter of the American Red Cross to motels in Placentia.
