Parker, from Downey High School, has only been part of the Rancho Santiago team for three weeks but already is in the school’s record book twice.
Last Wednesday, she pitched the team’s first no-hitter in five years in a 6-0 victory over East Los Angeles. She struck out six, walked three and retired the last 11 she faced.
Parker, who was twice an All-San Gabriel League selection, came back Saturday to tie the college’s single-game record for strikeouts with 12 as Rancho Santiago beat Grossmont, 2-1, in nine innings.
Another top performer:
Cinnamon Basco, who scored 35 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as Golden West beat Antelope Valley, 110-64, in a Southern California playoff game.
