Fox Studio Project and Local Economy

I am currently president of the Friends of Fox Business Group, which consists of more than 500 Westside business leaders in support of the Fox Studio project. We all would be negatively impacted if Fox Studio were denied approvals for its project. Many Westside businesses could not even survive without the business Fox Studio generates.

Los Angeles is in deep economic trouble. The entertainment industry is a pillar of support to the Los Angeles economy, and the city should encourage growth in this sector. In order to remain a viable business and valuable employer, Fox Studio must renovate its 63-year-old facilities.

Those who oppose the Fox Studio project must look beyond their back yards. Many Los Angeles City Council members claim that one of their priorities is to help Los Angeles through this recession. Approving Fox Studio’s full renovation and expansion project would be a great start.
