Shoring Up Bike Path

I commend the city of Ventura and the Ventura County Fair Board for their practical solution of shoring up the beach by adding rock in order to halt further erosion of the bike path and parking lot at the fairgrounds.

This action will give all interested parties the needed time to find long-term solutions without a further deterioration of the facilities. The section of beach that has been repaired represents an important link in this area’s bike path system--which is used not only by bicyclists, but also walkers, joggers and others interested in the beach area.

These two agencies have brought a renewed hope that our government actually will work for the benefit of the community which it proposes to represent.
