President-Elect Bill Clinton
Shame on you, Mr. President. You sold your soul to the fundamentalist devil and lost the right to lead our country in possibly the most important four years of its history.
Shame on you, Mr. Clinton. You have consistently failed to acknowledge that the American people want to change government, not our direction. If “Carter-nomics” wasn’t sufficient warning, you’ll be out in four years, too.
To our Congress: You have much to be ashamed of, from bad checks to a complete disregard for the need to reform your membership. Make the next term count.
Shame on the media people who focus on the extremist viewpoint. By polarizing the issues, they effectively stifle reasoned debate. Learn to check and reform your membership as well.
To the American people, shame on us. The only way we could have come to this point was by inaction. Learn the lesson. Make the electronic town hall a priority. Work to make the ideas you find most important a reality. We must find the spirit of compromise that made this country great.
