Fillmore 13, Santa Paula 12--Louis Garza’s five-yard third-quarter touchdown run proved to be the difference as the host Flashes (3-5) overcame a 12-7 halftime deficit.
Felix Zuniga had 102 yards in 16 carries, including a three-yard second-quarter touchdown. Isaac Jimenez had 122 yards in 22 carries and Garza added 78 yards in 11 carries.
Santa Paula (3-5) had taken a 12-7 lead on Brian Whittaker’s 44-yard second-quarter touchdown pass to Joseph Jauregui.
The Cardinals also scored a touchdown on Brian Lister’s two-yard run in the first quarter.
