PANORAMA CITY : 1 Killed, 2 Wounded as Gunmen Invade House
One man was killed and two others were wounded Friday when at least two gunmen fired into a group of people in a Panorama City house, Los Angeles police said.
Two men and a woman in the patio area outside the home, apparently preparing a birthday party, tried to flee when a Ford Bronco pulled up at 2:42 p.m., police said, but the gunmen jumped from the vehicle and chased them into the house.
Simon Macedo, 30, was shot to death in a bedroom; Maria Madrigal, 24, and an unidentified man were hospitalized in stable and serious condition with gunshot wounds, Lt. Richard Blankenship said.
The gunmen fled, leaving a child in the house uninjured, he said, adding that police do not know the motive for the shootings.
