Movie Equipment Maker Reduces 2nd-Quarter Loss
Camera Platforms International Inc., a Valencia provider of production equipment to the movie industry, said it narrowed its second-quarter loss compared to a year earlier on an 81% jump in revenue.
In the quarter that ended June 30, Camera Platforms lost $122,000, compared with a year-earlier loss of $437,000, and its revenue rose to $1.03 million from $572,000.
Camera Platforms also reported a $368,000 loss for the first half of this year, compared to a $917,000 loss in the comparable 1991 period, and its six-month revenue rose 50%, to $1.88 million from $1.25 million.
