DANA POINT : $25,000 Is Available for Cultural Projects
The Dana Point Cultural Commission will start accepting applications from nonprofit organizations Monday for $25,000 worth of Cultural Funding Program grants.
“The Cultural Funding Program is just one way in which the City Council achieves its mission of enhancing the quality of life for both citizens and visitors by encouraging participation in the arts,” said Wendy Lockwood-Larson, chairwoman of the commission. “This program initiates support and promotes programs and events which help to preserve the cultural heritage of Dana Point.”
Past grant recipients have included the Capistrano Valley Symphony, Arrowhead Institute, Coast Ballet Theatre, Orange County Marine Institute and the Dana Point/Capistrano Beach Historical Society.
