San Diego : Meth Bust Nets Man on Drug Charges
A 25-year-old Anaheim man was arrested Thursday night in San Diego on charges of possession of narcotics and intent to sell them after being caught with 25 pounds of methamphetamine, authorities said.
The man, identified as Rex Marvin Perry, had been under investigation by the federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the state Bureau of Narcotics Enforcement since May, DEA spokesman Jack Hook said Friday.
Acting on a tip that he was going to make a drug delivery, agents Thursday followed Perry from his home in Anaheim to San Diego’s Harbor Island, where he was arrested in a parking lot, Hook said.
Agents also found that Perry was carrying a loaded .45-caliber semi-automatic handgun, Hook said.
