Man Stabbed in Back During Beach Brawl
HUNTINGTON BEACH — A Westminster man was stabbed twice in the back during a fight on the beach, police said Thursday.
Friends took John Barrera, 22, to Humana Hospital-Huntington Beach after the brawl, which occurred shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday, police said. Barrera’s condition was not available.
Police said Barrera and another man were fighting near a fire ring on the beach near the pier. During the fight, the man who stabbed Barrera also pulled out a gun, but no shots were fired, said Lt. Luis Ochoa.
