An Eclectic Festival

The Oakleaf Music Festival will celebrate its 10th anniversary this weekend at Conejo Community Park in Thousand Oaks. Concert-goers can unfurl blankets for lawn seating and enjoy a mixture of classical and jazz styles at three concert attractions. The Conejo Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Elmer Ramsey, will also perform as the resident Festival Orchestra.

The schedule follows:

* 6 p.m. Saturday: Pianist Daniel Pollack performs Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 and is joined by the Festival Orchestra performing “Scheherazade Suite” by Rimsky-Korsakov.

* 1:30 p.m. Sunday: The Make Believe Brass quintet blends light classical works, pops and jazz favorites with informal stage humor suitable for the whole family.

* 6 p.m. Sunday: Actor and baritone Robert Guillaume performs with the Festival Orchestra in a presentation of American music. The orchestra will also perform Ferde Grofe’s “Grand Canyon Suite” and Alec Wilder’s “Sandburg Suite.”

Conejo Community Park is at Dover and Hendrix avenues. (Low-back chairs or blankets are suggested for lawn seating.) Single tickets purchased in advance (through Friday) are $9, $7 senior citizens, students and children. Three-concert subscription is $24, $18 senior citizens, students and children. Purchased at the gate, single concert admission is $2 more. An arts and crafts fair will be held next to the concert site from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the park entrance. Admission is free.
