La Canada Flintridge : New Planning Permit Fees

The City Council voted 4 to 1 Monday to impose new fees for filing planning permits.

Among the charges added are $200 for architectural improvements, $140 for environmental reviews and $40 for a permit to conduct part-time businesses of 20 hours or fewer per week (in addition to an annual charge of $25 for a home occupation business license). A $10 monthly rate for boarding horses remains unchanged.

The city currently collects fees from developers to pay for notification of property owners living within 800 feet of the proposed project, incidental costs and city inspections.
