GARDEN GROVE : Heart Attack Linked to Fatal Collision
A Downey man who may have suffered a heart attack died after a car crash Wednesday, police said.
Bok Kim, 47, was southbound on Gilbert Street near Katella Avenue at 2:10 a.m. when his Ford van crossed into the northbound lane and hit a Dodge van driven by Gun Kim, 38, of Garden Grove, Lt. John Woods said.
The two are not related. Gun Kim was treated for minor injuries.
Officers found Bok Kim in full cardiac arrest and took him to Humana Hospital-West Anaheim, where he died on arrival, hospital officials said.
No one has been cited. Authorities believe Bok Kim suffered a heart attack while driving and lost control of his car.
