Trader Joe’s to Open: The Trader Joe’s specialty food market is opening a new store in San Clemente.
The chain, which sells wine, gourmet foods and cheeses at discount prices, said it thinks that the seaside community has the kind of upper-crust, wine-sipping clientele that will make the store an instant hit.
“San Clemente, with its highly educated and well-traveled customers, is an ideal spot for Trader Joe’s,” President John V. Shields said.
The chain also has Orange County stores in Costa Mesa, Fullerton, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Laguna Hills and Santa Ana.
