Kings Fail to Reach Their Goals Again, So Fans Get in Their Jabs
There is one member of the Edmonton Oilers that Bruce McNall overlooked. McNall should have acquired the Oilers’ general manager, Glen Sather. All former Oilers publicly express resentment toward Sather. Apparently he keeps his players focused on hockey. The Kings’ players become McNall’s buddies.
There are simply too many distractions playing hockey in Los Angeles and McNall’s relationship with his players is the biggest distraction of all.
McNall must hire a no-nonsense general manager and coach, both with full authority, and McNall must not “fraternize with the help.”
