The semifinals of the Southern Section 5-A baseball playoffs are scheduled June 2 at Cal State Fullerton’s new Titan Field.

The doubleheader has been played at Blair Field in Long Beach the last three years, but renovations there forced administrators to move the game to Fullerton, where the seating capacity is 1,520.

“The new scoreboard won’t be ready yet, but we felt Fullerton’s facility would be an ideal setting for our semifinal games,” Southern Section publicist Scott Cathcart said.

Games are scheduled for 4 and 7 p.m., with the winners advancing to the championship onJune 6 at Anaheim Stadium.

Cathcart said the Division 1-A and small-school championship games, which also have been played at Blair Field in the past, will be at Titan Field June 5 at 4:30 p.m. (small schools) and 7:30 p.m. (1-A).
