THOUSAND OAKS : Stakeout at Mall Leads to Arrest of 3
Three San Fernando Valley men were arrested Monday on suspicion of burglarizing a shopping mall in Thousand Oaks, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department reported.
The three were arrested at 3:30 a.m. after they allegedly smashed the window of a modeling agency at the Janss Mall and carried away a television set, an answering machine and a portable radio, a sheriff’s report said.
Booked on suspicion of burglary were Jason A. Lamb, 18, of Northridge; Denny T. Stith, 21, of Burbank, and Angel Montez, 20, of Granada Hills.
Deputies were watching the mall, where stores have been burglarized about 10 times in the last four months, Detective Stan Weber said. He said it was not clear whether the men were responsible for the other burglaries.
