Laser Endo Acquires a New Name
SAN CLEMENTE — Laser Endo Technic Corp. said it has changed its name to Laser Medical Technology Inc. to reflect the addition of its medical laser division, Laser Medical Applications. The company, whose stock is traded over the counter, said it expects to change its trading symbol in the near future.
The company said it will continue to develop and market its dental laser products.
The San Clemente firm also said it has approved a 1-for-2 reverse split of its common stock, reducing the number of shares outstanding to about 14 million.
Francois Levy, chief executive, said the reverse split should “serve to increase the price of the company’s common stock, which we believe will attract a broader group of retail and institutional investors.”
