Toshiba Price Cuts: Toshiba America Information Systems in Irvine said it will cut prices 22% to 26% on two of its newest models of notebook computers. The company said it initiated the cuts because of competitive pressures.
Different versions of the two models, the T2200SX and the T3300SL, will now range in price from $2,999 to $3,999, contrasted with earlier prices of $3,999 to $5,099.
Earlier this month, Toshiba announced plans to cut the staff at its corporate headquarters by about 150 people, or 12%. The company cited severe competition in the computer industry and the recession.
