Running to Victory: KCOP’s coverage of the seventh Los Angeles Marathon ran away with the daytime ratings Sunday. The station won the 8 a.m.-1 p.m. hours in the overnight Arbitron ratings with an 8.6 rating and 23% share of the audience. KCOP said that translated into 900,00-1 million unduplicated viewers. The ratings were up from last year, but the champ is still the first L.A. marathon in 1986, which got a 13.0 rating and 35% audience share. KCOP has covered each of the marathons.
