The Power, the Glory, the Reaction : THE REAL THING . . .
It is obvious that your journalist chose to take a negative slant on Marianne’s work. I have known Marianne for many years; she has in no way “become carried away with her own success.”
She has never claimed to be a guru, has never claimed to be perfect and has never sought success. Yes, she does “walk” as she “talks.” Anyone disagreeing may be out for his or her own moment of glory. Everything Marianne does is done out of love.
Marianne does not charge for counseling or for performing weddings, funerals or baptisms, and the $7 charge for lectures is only for those who can pay.
It is obvious that Marianne is not in this for “the power,” “the glory” or “the glitz.” The media are there when celebrities are involved, but never when she is paying for someone’s medication, or when she gets up in the middle of the night to be with someone who is dying or when she is holding the hand of someone in labor for 20 hours, as she did with me at the birth of my son.
Anyone who has read Marianne’s book “A Return to Love” would know her true spirit.
