Who Were Those Kids?
Re Richard S. Ginell’s review of the Los Angeles Master Chorale’s “Of Thee We Sing” concert (“L.A. Master Chorale at Chandler Pavilion,” Calendar, Nov. 11): Ginell spent a lot of time knocking patriotism in his first paragraph. Whoopee. He had some nice things to say about the Chorale and Paul Salamunovich. Wonderful!
But he failed to even mention the performance of students from several area high school choirs who joined the Chorale in the second half of the program. No class! The kids and their directors worked hard and at least deserved a mention in the review.
