SAN CLEMENTE : Woman Sexually Attacked; Man Flees
A 31-year-old San Clemente woman told police that she was sexually assaulted Wednesday afternoon at a home in the southeastern part of the city by an unknown man who escaped on foot, police said.
The victim said she was watching television at a friend’s home on Avenida Buena Ventura about 1:30 p.m. when she heard a knock on the front door. When she opened the door, a man burst into the home, threw her to the floor and threatened her with a knife, police said.
During the assault, the victim said she managed to knee the man in the groin, causing him to become upset and flee the home. No vehicle was seen or heard leaving the area, according to the police report.
The assailant was described as a white man, about 32 years old, 5 feet, 8 inches tall with a thin build, a mustache, curly, brown, collar-length hair with shaggy ends. The suspect had a cut on the right side of his upper lip and he was wearing a three-button, red-and-white horizontally striped polo shirt with a white collar.
