Chiat Wins TV Guide Account: The Venice ad agency Chiat/Day/Mojo has won the $20-million consumer advertising business for News Corp.’s TV Guide. The business will be shared between the agency’s offices in Venice and New York. For TV Guide, the move is a clear bid to boost circulation that has dwindled to 15 million from a peak of nearly 20 million back in 1978. Meanwhile, Chiat/Day also withdrew from the review for the $6-million Australian Tourist Commission ad business in the U.S. and Canada.
