Dick, Jeffrey Post Tennis Victories

Brian Dick of Westlake Village and Mark Jeffrey of Woodland Hills moved a step closer to qualifying for the Volvo Los Angeles tennis tournament with victories in a pre-qualifying event Thursday at The Racquet Centre in Studio City.

Dick defeated Al Martinez of West Hills, 6-3, 4-6, 6-1, in the quarterfinals. Dick will face Chris Toomey of Long Beach in today’s semifinals.

Jeffrey defeated Bill Terry of Bakersfield, 6-2, 6-1. He will face Ignacio Martinez of San Ysidro in the semifinals.
