A 44-year-old Hillcrest man was found stabbed to death Monday morning in his apartment after his roommate turned himself in to La Mesa police, authorities said.
Richard James Bosselman, a licensed vocational nurse at Coronado Hospital, had been stabbed several times when he was found about 6 a.m. Monday, lying on his back in the dining room of his apartment in the 1200 block of Robinson Avenue, authorities said.
Bosselman was pronounced dead at the scene, an investigator from the county medical examiner’s office said.
James Kelly Botts, 25, was being held without bail at the downtown County Jail on suspicion of murder after he allegedly told La Mesa police early in the morning that he had stabbed his roommate during an argument, authorities said.
Bosselman has no known next of kin, the medical examiner’s office said.
