Section of I-5 to Close for Widening Project
Southbound Interstate 5 will be closed between California 52 and the north junction of Interstate 805 from midnight until 6 a.m. Wednesday and Friday, as part of a $4.2-million project to widen the La Jolla Village Drive bridge and ramps.
Friday’s closure of the freeway had originally been planned for today, according to the California Department of Transportation.
California 52 and Interstate 805 will serve as detours while the work is in progress.
