FULLERTON : Optometry College Gets $100,000 Grant
The owners of Florida-based eye-care manufacturing companies have donated $100,000 for scholarships and faculty research at the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton.
The gift was made by the S.R. Marco Family Foundation Inc., established by the Marco family, which owns Marco Ophthalmic and Marco Technologies in Jacksonville, Fla., college officials announced. Scholarship recipients will be determined by the college’s dean of student affairs. Students will be chosen based on need, scholastic ability, leadership and initiative, officials said.
