Caltrans Issues Motorists’ Advisory

Caltrans advises motorists that it has scheduled the following freeway work in the Southeast and Long Beach area this week. Repair locations are spotted on the map by number and are identified in the list below by the nearest city or cities.

ARTESIA FREEWAY (91)

1. Cerritos: Eastbound and westbound connector roads from the westbound Artesia Freeway (91) to the northbound and southbound San Gabriel River Freeway (605), and the eastbound Artesia Freeway (91) connector to the northbound San Gabriel River Freeway (605); 6 a.m. to noon today; surveys.

2. Paramount: Connector road from the westbound Artesia Freeway (91) to the southbound Long Beach Freeway (710); 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday; bridge repair.

LONG BEACH FREEWAY (710)

3. Commerce: Northbound No. 1 lane from Slauson Avenue to Atlantic Boulevard and Bandini Boulevard; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday; jersey wall repair.

4. Commerce: Southbound No. 1 lane from Washington Boulevard to Atlantic Boulevard; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday; jersey wall repair.

5. East Los Angeles: Connector road from the southbound Long Beach Freeway (710) to the southbound Santa Ana Freeway (5); 6 a.m. to noon today; maintenance.

POMONA FREEWAY (60)

6. East Los Angeles: Connector road from the eastbound Pomona Freeway (60) to the southbound Long Beach Freeway (710); 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday; bridge repair.

7. Monterey Park: Westbound No. 1 lane from Wilcox Avenue to Dangler Avenue; 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. today; sign repair.

8. Monterey Park: Eastbound No. 6 lane from Mednik Avenue to Woods Avenue; noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday; sign repair.

9. South El Monte: Eastbound No. 4 and 5 lanes from Peck Road to the northbound San Gabriel River Freeway (605) junction, plus the eastbound Pomona Freeway (60) connector to the northbound San Gabriel River Freeway (605); 6 a.m. to noon today; mudjacking.

10. South El Monte: Eastbound No. 1 and 2 lanes from Peck Road to Crossroads Parkway; 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday and Tuesday; mudjacking.

11. South El Monte: Westbound No. 1 lane from Crossroads Parkway to the San Gabriel River Freeway (605) junction; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday; mudjacking.

SAN GABRIEL RIVER FREEWAY (605)

12. Cerritos: Northbound No. 4 and 5 lanes from the Artesia Freeway (91) to Alondra Boulevard; 6 a.m. to noon today; surveys.

13. Cerritos: Northbound and southbound No. 1 lanes from the Artesia Freeway (91) to Alondra Boulevard; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday; surveys.

14. Long Beach: Northbound No. 3 and 4 lanes at the Wardlow Road overcrossing, plus the Spring Street on-ramp; 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. today; bridge repair.

15. Whittier: Northbound off-ramp at Washington Boulevard and the northbound on-ramp at Pioneer Boulevard; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday; landscaping.

SANTA ANA FREEWAY (5)

16. Commerce: Southbound No. 1 lane from the Long Beach Freeway (710) to Washington Boulevard; 6 a.m. to noon today; maintenance.

17. Commerce: Northbound No. 1 lane from Garfield Avenue to the Simmons railroad underpass; 6 a.m. to noon today; maintenance.

18. Norwalk: Southbound No. 3 lane from Imperial Highway to Norwalk Boulevard, plus the Imperial Highway on-ramp and the Norwalk Boulevard off-ramp; 5:30 a.m. to noon today; landscaping.
