Man, 22, Arrested in Slaying of Mother
A 22-year-old Granada Hills man was arrested Wednesday in connection with the fatal stabbing of his mother, whose body was discovered when her husband returned home from work, police said.
Police arrested Roy Escarrilla, whose father, Isidro, found Teresita Santana Escarrilla, 54, dead when he returned to their apartment in the 16600 block of Devonshire Street on Tuesday.
The cause of death was a stab wound to the chest, a coroner’s spokesman said.
