PRO FOOTBALL REPORT / WEEKDAY UPDATE : RAIDERS : Schroeder Says His Knee Is Fine
Jay Schroeder cruised through another practice on his sprained left knee, leaving no doubt about the quarterback’s status for Sunday’s game in Denver.
“If we were playing today, Jay would be the starter,” Raider Coach Art Shell said.
Schroeder said he felt very little discomfort.
“It feels terrific,” he said. “No problems at all. I did everything normal that I was going to do.”
Injury report: The Broncos listed receiver Vance Johnson (foot), tight end Orson Mobley (ankle), linebacker Marc Munford (elbow) and guard-tackle Jim Juriga (back) as doubtful for Sunday’s game. Receiver Mark Jackson (knee) was upgraded from doubtful to questionable Thursday.
