NBA ROUNDUP : Nuggets on First Winning Streak
Orlando Woolridge scored 32 points and Michael Adams 29 as the Denver Nuggets won two in a row for the first time this season, beating the Sacramento Kings, 136-128, Thursday night at Denver.
It was only Denver’s third victory in 14 games. Sacramento suffered its 12th loss in 13 games.
Wayman Tisdale scored 33 points for the Kings, who also got 22 from Lionel Simmons and Travis Mays and 20 from Antoine Carr.
Portland 107, Minnesota 92--Clyde Drexler scored 21 points and Terry Porter added 20 as the Trail Blazers built a 20-point halftime lead and coasted at home to improve their record to 12-1.
Tyrone Corbin led the Timberwolves with 26 points and had 16 in the second half when Minnesota made a short run at Portland.
Phoenix 128, Seattle 110--Tom Chambers scored 22 points and the Suns made all 23 of their free throws in a one-sided first half as they beat the visiting SuperSonics. Chambers had 15 points in the first half as the Suns took a 65-47 lead.
