Colorado No. 1 in UPI Ratings
Colorado, which routed Kansas State, 64-3, Saturday, moved up to the No. 1 spot in United Press International’s weekly college football poll.
The Buffaloes, 10-1-1 and headed for the Orange Bowl, received 45 of 55 first-place votes. Miami, Georgia Tech, Brigham Young and Texas make up the rest of the top five.
Notre Dame fell to No. 8 after its 24-21 loss to Penn State. The 8-2 Irish play USC Saturday before facing Colorado in the Orange Bowl. The Trojans are 16th.
