Eric Davis finally left a Cincinnati hospital with harsh words about his treatment by owner Marge Schott of the Cincinnati Reds.
The outfielder has been in hospitals in Oakland and Cincinnati since suffering a torn kidney while trying to make a diving catch during Game 4 of the World Series.
Doctors in Cincinnati said he should be able to recover fully with rest.
Davis has criticized Schott for declining to pay for his flight from Oakland to Cincinnati last Friday on a private medically equipped plane that cost him nearly $15,000.
“I got some flowers from Marge a couple of days ago . . . but I still haven’t talked to her, so what good is that?” Davis said.
